Summary

Gregory (Greg) Heffley is an American Middle school student who goes to Westmore Middle School. Greg is lazy, selfish. He hardly has any talents or skills aside from video games, drawing, and possibly singing. His best friend is Rowley Jefferson. In his family, there is his father: Francis (Frank) Heffley, He is very humorous as well as serious. He is the elder brother of Joe Heffley and Gary Heffley, his mother: Susan Heffley, elder brother: Rodrick Heffley, He has his own band named Loded Diper and younger brother: Manny Heffley, he is Greg and Rodrick's three-year-old brother who is constantly spoiled and pampered by his parents. He likes a girl named Holly Hills who is 4th pretty girl in the batch. Greg Heffley finds himself thrust into middle school, where undersized weaklings share the hallways with kids who are taller, meaner, and already shaving. He wishes to become popular among the students. However, his attempts to gain fame land him in hilariously embarrassing situations. On his first day of school, Greg is forced to sit with the school nerd called Fregley, whom he tries to keep distance from. He isn't sure whether his friend Rowley will be able to fit in in middle school, because he considers him to be immature. As a way to boost their popularity, Greg and Rowley decided to join the wrestling team, but Greg quits the team after he loses a match against Fregley. On Halloween, Greg and Rowley go out for trick-or-treating, but they are bullied by teens who spray them both with a water-filled fire extinguisher. Greg threatens them by telling them that he is going to call the cops, but the teens begin chasing them. Greg and Rowley both hide at Greg’s grandmother’s house until the teenagers leave.

How I felt about it

It was very humorous (referring to the books I have already read). They taught me how to coop up with bullies ad the other kids in a school and how to adjust yourself among them. Greg and me have many things in common therefore it is very realistic and that what I like about it. The only problem is that it has many parts and that's kind of boring like you are reading a book that always has the main character the same. I suggest you to also read these books.
